Who We Are

The University of Georgia Sigma Alpha, Alpha Omicron Chapter is all about fun, sisterhood, scholarship, professionalism, and agriculture. Since we are a professional sorority, we are not apart of Panhellenic, however we offer an alternative to the Greek Life System. We believe that agriculture is an important part of today's society and keeps the world running. Our sisters are involved in every aspect of it. We take classes, work, and volunteer time to learn about livestock, farming, plants, ag education, ag politics and anything else related to agriculture. If you're interested in all things ag, come join us in our endeavors to raise awareness for agriculture across Athens.

A Message From Our President

Welcome to the Alpha Omicron Chapter of Sigma Alpha Professional Agricultural Sorority at the University of Georgia! We are so excited that you are interested in our chapter! Every sister is committed to promoting women's involvement in agriculture, as well as advocating for the industry.

Agriculture means food, care, and love for plants, animals and one another. Agriculture is what brought us sisters together and hopefully you too. Many of our sisters come from different backgrounds, yet we still share the same passion for the agricultural industry.

Sigma Alpha has brought me a various amount of opportunities that contributed to strengthening my leadership and professional skills. Not only that, but my passion and knowledge about agriculture has grown too. I encourage you to learn more about our chapter and to rush our fall recruitment!
