University of Georgia Sigma Alpha strives to help create relationships and lifelong friendships between women pursuing careers or having interests in agriculture and surrounding fields. Sigma Alpha offers an alternative to the greek sorority system while promoting scholarship, leadership, fellowship, service, and professional development among its members.
UGA Sigma Alpha's Fall Recruitment consists of three optional informative sessions, a three day themed recruitment week, and a bid day for those who receive a bid determined by the Alpha Omicron Chapter.
Fall Recruitment
We will be having three information sessions about recruitment between August 31st - September 2nd from 6-7PM in Conner Hall 212.
Recruitment Week will take place starting Wednesday, September 8th through Friday, September 10th.
After recruitment week is up, potential new members will receive a call on Tuesday, September 14th. Girls who receive a bid will be invited to attend Bid Day, an event welcoming them to the sorority on Thursday, September 16th.

More Information
Recruitment is a themed event meaning active sisters and potential/prospective new members can dress for the decided theme for each night. Themes will be announced closer to the recruitment week date.
There will be brief interviews for girls interested in becoming Sigma Alpha sisters. These interviews will occur on the same nights as recruitment week and will last ten to fifteen minutes. Interviews will be utilized to help active sisters find out more about the potential new member and their interest in agriculture and Sigma Alpha.
